Eton can source a variety of specialist materials for both buildings/compounds and vehicles. Main categories include:
Blast film – comes in a range of thicknesses and styles – all with the objective to reduce injury from blast and flying glass. Eton sources from several major suppliers used widely by international missions.
Special glass block bullet proof glass – Many injuries to building occupants are caused by glass fragments sent flying through the air from the force of a blast. Unlike laminated flat glass, which will often crack and sometimes release fragments during a blast, there was no cracking or loss of glass in the tests conducted on new Blast-Resistant Glass Block Panels.
Regular bullet proof glass – for vehicles as well as buildings is available in a wide range of tested products. Eton has held contracts to supply appropriate protective glass for reinforcing Coalition helicopters in Afghanistan.
With the ever increasing threat levels on the battlefield and the need for modern vehicles to have mobility without compromising on survivability, ceramic armour is often a solution to providing protection at minimum weight.
Security doors – Eton can source a range of blast resistant doors as well as accessories to restrain access – either electronically regulated or with simple manual steel door guards and locks.
Eton also provides several varieties of vehicle access barriers, including electronic checkpoint booms and gates, as well as pop up grates designed to disable tires quickly and effectively.
